The history of the Civic innovation Labs (LABIC) demonstrates what can happen when people are given the means and support to develop their own strategies to solve their problems. The result of this experience is such that, beyond its obvious successes, reveals the power of creativity, perseverance, and teamwork. The LABIC were born in 2014 as a space where people from every corner of Iberoamerica could propose specific and innovative solutions to their communities’ problems. Over the last eight years, this model has produced almost a hundred high impact ideas.
